Full-Day Program
High school seniors spend the day at one of the three Lancaster County Career & Technology Center
campuses and participate in a comprehensive technical or career-oriented program. The full-day program
allows more usable time for instruction and enables students to gain insight into daily work patterns.
Full-Day Program with College Credit
In specific full-day programs at LCCTC, students may earn college credits toward an associate degree
at two-year colleges. These programs offer college-level segments that students must successfully
complete to qualify for credits. The Tech Prep program offers academic and technical skills in a
career pathway that leads to an associate degree. Students also have the option to enroll in college
Algebra and English courses. These two courses provide the opportunity to earn six college credits
at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.
ABC School to Work Program
This program is for students interested in starting a career in the construction field. Students enrolled
in this program benefit from classroom instruction based on the Associated
Builders and Contractors (ABC)“Wheels of Learning” curriculum and through on-the-job training. Students may enter
the ABC Apprenticeship Program after high school graduation.
College Prep Programs
Two part-day programs enable college-bound students to supplement their academic education with career-related
experiences. The Pre-Engineering/CAD program and the Introduction
to Health Careers program provide
students with the opportunity to explore a career area for a few hours during each school day. Enrollment
may be limited to participating high schools. Since the programs meet for one quarter or one half
of a day, students can gain technical skills at LCCTC while meeting academic requirements for college
at their sending schools.
Half-Day Cluster Programs
Half-day career and technical programs are available to special needs students in grades 10 and 11.
The Cluster programs, offered at all three campuses, allow students the opportunity to explore different
aspects of the fields of construction, culinary arts, health care, manufacturing or transportation.
Cluster programs are intended for students who plan to apply for one of the full-time LCCTC programs
during their senior year.
Adult Education
Interested adults may enroll in any of the full-time programs offered at LCCTC on a space-available basis.
Financial aid is available to
qualified applicants. In addition to full-time programs, LCCTC offers short-term evening courses
(15-90 hours).
